Hello, Alumni! The warm days of September in Berkeley are back. The new academic year welcomes a new group of students. The football season starts shortly, and our faithful alumni are smelling roses this year!

| CAA Awards First Recipient of PAAC-Grace Asuncion Achievement Award Scholarship

PAAC is proud to announce the first recipient of the PAAC-Grace Asuncion Achievement Award. Jovy Estremos (Class of 2007) will be honored along with other students of The Achievement Award Program at a luncheon on October 7, 2004 . Her award has directly benefited from your generosity.

| PAAC: Sign Up to Be a CAA Student Mentor !

The Student Alumni Mentorship Program (SAMP) is one of many mentoring programs at UC Berkeley. This one is unique in that it connects any Cal student with UC Berkeley alumni in one-on-one mentoring relationships that offer support, advice and networking opportunities. |
Even if you live out-of-state, you can be a mentor. In fact, you are further encouraged because some students look to eventually re-locate. As a mentor, you'll be doing more via email and phone. In past experiences, a pair faxed for 4 years and never met. Others had monthly phone call check-ins. You two will decide how you connect to get your mentee ahead.
