Hello, Alumni!

Summer is here, and another academic year comes to a close at Berkeley . As the academic year winds down, so does our fiscal year. What a historic year, 2004-2005, has been for PAAC!  

PAAC is proud to announce several club achievements as well as events planned for the 2005-2006 year. Mark your calendars now! Look forward to the following PAAC events.

PAAC needs your financial support to continue providing the community activities and events that you all have enjoyed in the past few years. PAAC is an independently run, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that operates through the generosity of its members and extended community. PAAC does not have membership dues. PAAC does not get direct financial support from the University or the CAA.

In May and June, PAAC will begin its fundraising campaign. You will be contacted by phone call by a PAAC leader. To fulfill PAAC's potential, your shared resources of time and money is critical. As in all efforts, no contribution is too small. We look forward to your support.  

PilGrad took place on May 22nd on the UC Berkeley campus. PAAC is proud to announce the Pilipino Graduating Class of 2005! Welcome, new alumni, to the growing network of Filipino American professionals and leaders. Please register and get involved in the Alumni Association. See you at a future event, and meet Filipino Cal alums from previous generations!

On April 2nd , PAAC celebrated the Grace Asuncion Donor Appreciation Dinner to thank the generous donors and volunteers of the multi-year effort for the Grace Asuncion Achievement Award. The Asuncion family and the award recipient, Jovy Estremos, were present at the celebration. Lisa Ang, PAA's Grace Asuncion Scholarship recipient for 2004-05 was
also present as well as PAA student group leaders.

On March 1, 2005, Agnes Briones (Executive Director, Small Business Commission of San Francisco) was the keynote speaker at the annual Student-Alumni Mentorship Dinner at the Alumni House.

Our annual happy hours were conducted throughout the country including San Francisco (February 23, 2005), Los Angeles (February 24, 2005), and New York City (May 19, 2005).
